I just got done reading Johanna Fateman’s book review of Stephanie Coontz’ new book;
A Strange Stirring: The Feminine Mystique and American Women at the Dawn of the 1960s
I feel like The Feminine Mystique should be re-branded and marketed toward double income gay white male households. Since I feel like a “Caged squirrel in a cozy trap, paying the price of privilege” I think Feminine Mystique may just be the new call to arms for a complacent, scrap feeding, bored with ourselves even, gay white male culture.
